Build an ingredient matrix showing the exact substance, source, grade, specification, function, use level and target species. Then check each item against the destination market’s recognised ingredient pathways and restrictions. A familiar ingredient name is not enough: source, processing method, purity, carrier and intended use can change the assessment. Complete this review before artwork and commercial production, and record unresolved items for a qualified regulatory reviewer or the competent authority.
