What should a pet supplement supplier audit cover?
Pet SupplementsAnswer 19Reviewed September 2026
A risk-based audit can review facility registration or licensing where applicable, material controls, sanitation, allergen or cross-contact controls, process controls, testing, release, traceability, complaints, recall readiness, training and change control. The buyer should verify that certificates match the legal entity, address, product scope and validity period. Remote evidence can support qualification, but it should not be mistaken for an on-site observation. Findings need owners, deadlines and documented closure.
