Start with commercial invoice, packing list, transport document, product specification, batch COA, composition and label. Depending on origin, materials and destination, the shipment may also need establishment approvals, health or free-sale certificates, permits, declarations, certificates of origin or contaminant evidence. Customs classification and regulatory classification should be checked separately. The importer should maintain a market-specific checklist and approve documents before dispatch, because requirements can change.
